Do you really believe this? Would you mind expounding?

If we shape our priorities towards immediate gratification (running towards pleasure) without effort in doing the hard work that ensures future success, we will live in the pain of mediocrity with no real sense of accomplishment.

If we allow our past pains to never come to resolve in our lives by examining the cause and effects to better adjust our outlook for the future, we are bound to continue to let this “baggage” hold us down in a vicious cycle.

We must deal with our anguish in order to douse it, as opposed to simply ignoring or accepting it as “just the way it is”.

Ok I understand your thinking. My thoughts are more toward looking at the search for pleasure not necessarily having to be immediate gratification.

The search for pleasure may involve experiencing moments of pain however, when we learn from life’s experiences which may have caused pain, we become closer to reaching our goal of finding pleasure.

    Great topic, by the way…
