The world is filled with baby daddies but it takes a truly special man to be a Father.
Happy Fathers Day

Today in Church the children’s church did a presentation for fathers. One girl around 12 years old walked onto the stage and faced sideways (her father is a Deacon) to face her father backstage. She read her poem of what he meant to her. She cried and sobbed as she squeaked her words of expression of love and admiration for the man of her life. Brother Ken approached her from backstage and embraced her. It was beautiful.

We are so important, we matter so much, we must rise and remain steadfast.

Some of my friends are feeling the bite of this economy and are forced into a position that is most testing of their manhood. This may impact this Fathers Day recognition. As a friend I want to be there in any way I can, yet I find that men in this situation are not looking to be social. As I relate to my lows, at times I’d rather sit in my somber and dwell in my frustration in order to fight through and succeed. But good friends that pull you up, hold you up and make you laugh about your blessings as you suspend your worries is a refreshing moment. On this day, suspend, enjoy Fatherhood, you are still…

To all my Brothers At Arms…I am with you, I am my brothers keeper, we will overcome and push forward as brothers in battle. Any wounds suffered in war will heal and mend as we strengthen our bond.
